Most credit cards come with annual fees in exchange for the benefits they offer.
But if you’re on a tight budget or would rather not have to waste time calling in for a waiver, there are more and more no-fee credit cards on the market.
Some offer no annual fees with no strings attached, making them great fuss-free options. Others require a certain minimum spend or membership for an automatic fee waiver.
Today, we’ve scoured the market for all the credit cards with no annual fees and compiled them in the list below:

Not all of these are great choices, however. Some lay forgotten, with no particularly appealing benefits.
We’ll get into each of these cards and what they’re good (or bad) for next.
1. CIMB Visa Signature
CIMB Visa Signature Card
At 10% cashback for groceries and online shopping, the CIMB Visa Signature is an enticing offer. You’ll find few other cards offering such a high rebate for those everyday expenses.
The catch? You’ll have to spend at least S$800 monthly to qualify for the 10% rebate, and the other categories include niche expenses like Pet Shops & Veterinary Services.
Unless you habitually spend on pampering yourself and your pet, it may be hard to meet the minimum spend while still remaining within the cashback caps. Still, the lack of an annual fee means it might be worth having the card around for those special occasions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- 10% cashback on local and overseas:
- Online shopping
- Groceries
- Beauty & Wellness
- Pet Shops & Veterinary Services
- Cruises
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
2. CIMB World Mastercard
CIMB World Mastercard
As with any unlimited cashback card, the CIMB World Mastercard is best used after you’ve hit the cashback caps on your other cards. That way, you’ll maximise the 6 – 10% cashback you get on regular cashback cards, then get an extra bit of cashback on the occasional splurge.
Splurging, in this case, means luxury goods (bags, watches, etc.) and leisure spending (golf, wine & dine). The next highest rebate is 1.7% from the UOB Absolute Cashback Card, so 2% is a great rate if branded goods are your thing.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- With minimum S$1,000 spend in a month, unlimited 2% cashback on:
- Wine & Dine and Online Food Delivery
- Movies & Digital Entertainment
- Taxis and Automobiles
- Luxury Goods
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
3. CIMB Visa Infinite
CIMB Visa Infinite Card
Like the CIMB World Mastercard, this unlimited cashback card is best used in combination with regular cashback cards. But the minimum spend requirement is higher with the Visa Infinite – you’ll need at least S$2,000 in a month.
That said, the CIMB Visa Infinite feels subpar for a travel-oriented card. You’ll only get 3 complimentary lounge access passes – not even VIP lounge access – and between 5% to 25% discount on airport dining and limo transfers.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$120,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- With minimum S$2,000 spend in a month, unlimited 2% cashback on:
- Travel
- Overseas spending
- Online spending in foreign currencies
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
4. CIMB AWSM Card
CIMB AWSM Card
With no minimum income or spending requirement, the CIMB AWSM is a starter option suitable for tertiary students and above. (Read also: 8 Best Student Credit Cards to Earn Rewards in Singapore)
But given its low credit limit and lack of benefits, we’d recommend swapping to a better card once you’re eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Students and NSFs between 18 and 29 years old
- Salaried Singaporean or PR below 35 years old: at least S$18,000 annual income
- Salaried Singaporean or PR above 35: at least S$30,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- Unlimited 1% cashback on:
- Dining & Entertainment
- Online shopping
- All things telco
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
5. Standard Chartered Smart Card
Standard Chartered Smart Card
6% cashback with no annual fees or minimum spend: now that’s an offer to turn heads.
That’s provided you actually transact with the merchants listed though.
If you take public transport, regularly eat breakfast at Ya Kun, get MacDonald’s once a week, or perhaps have a Netflix subscription, then you’ll benefit from this card.
You’ll get the cashback in reward points, so remember to redeem them every so often.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$60,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- 6% cashback on:
- Burger King, KFC, MacDonald’s, Subway
- Fun Toast, Toast Box, Ya Kun Kaya Toast
- Disney+, Netflix, Spotify, YouTube
- Bus and MRT
- Interest-free instalment plans with no processing fees
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
6. HSBC Revolution Card
HSBC Revolution Credit Card
With no minimum spend and 10X Reward Points on all online and contactless payments, this is a fuss-free yet versatile card.
Just note the bonus reward rate only applies to the first S$1,000 in spending, so we don’t recommend putting larger purchases on this card.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$40,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- 10X Reward Points on online and contactless payments
- 1% extra cashback with HSBC Everyday Global Account
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: None! Waived for life.
7. Best Denki OCBC Card
Unsurprisingly, this card provides the most benefits when you shop at BEST Denki. Elsewhere, you’ll get just 1 OCBC$ per dollar.
And even if you don’t spend the S$5,000 a year to qualify for the fee waiver, the free delivery and disposal costs may just make the card worthwhile regardless.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$45,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- 0% interest instalment plans
- 3% cash rebate at BEST Denki, including items purchased with 0% interest instalment plans
- Extra 2%/2.5% rebate if you spend above S$10,000/S$20,000 yearly at BEST Denki
- Members’ rate for purchase of Safety 5 Premium Warranties
- Free delivery for bulky items with minimum spend of S$200
- Free disposal for old items
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: Spend S$5,000 in a year.
8 & 9. DBS Woman’s / Woman’s World Card
DBS Woman’s & Woman’s World Card
Featured in our list of best credit cards for online shopping, the DBS Woman’s World Card gives you 10X DBS Points (equivalent to 4 MPD) for the first S$2,000 in online spending monthly. That’s potentially 96,000 miles in a year: more than enough for a round-trip ticket from Singapore to Los Angeles.
The downside? You’ll have to charge at least S$25,000 to the card in a year to get a fee waiver – which means at least S$1,000 of your spending will exceed the bonus rewards earning rate.
Eligibility Requirements:
- DBS Woman’s Card: Singaporean or Singapore PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income; foreigner with at least S$45,000 annual income
- DBS Woman’s World Card: Singaporean or foreigners above 21 years old with at least S$80,000 annual income
Key Benefits:
- 5X DBS Points (10X with Woman’s World Card) on online purchases
- Complimentary e-Commerce protection on online buys
- 0% interest payment plans over 3 months
- 5% cashback on overseas shopping and dining
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: Spend S$15,000 in a year for the Woman’s Card and S$25,000 for the Woman’s World Card.
10. Maybank Platinum Visa Card
Maybank Platinum Visa Card
With just a S$300 monthly budget, you can typically expect 1% cashback at most. This card bucks the trend by offering up to 3.33% cashback for that same amount.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Malaysian above 21 with at least S$45,000 annual income, in employment for at least a year
- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$60,000 annual income, in employment for at least a year
Key Benefits:
- With minimum spend of S$300, 3.33% cashback on all local and foreign currency spend
Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: Charge to the card once every three months.
11. Maybank Manchester United Platinum Visa
Discounts on tickets and merchandise, extra cashback when the team wins, and a chance to catch Manchester United live – this is a card that caters to diehard ManU fans indeed.
But since most of the benefits are contingent on ManU’s victory, it might be hard to justify getting the card unless you buy a lot of their merchandise.

(Valid until 7 August 2023) Click to apply.
12. Maybank FC Barcelona Credit Card
Football-centric credit cards are a double-edged sword. Some, like the Manchester United Platinum Visa, require your favourite team to win a match before you can maximise its benefits.
Luckily, the Maybank FC Barcelona Card has decent benefits even if Spain doesn’t win.
At 1.6% unlimited cashback, this card sits in the middle of the range (Read also: 7 Best Unlimited Cashback Cards for Singapore). But what makes it attractive is the automatic annual fee waiver and that you aren’t limited to just a few spending categories.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Malaysian above 21 with at least S$45,000 annual income, in employment for at least a year

(Valid until 7 August 2023) Click to apply.

(Valid until 20 December 2023) Click to apply.
14. OCBC Arts Credit Card
This card used to have far more benefits, such as a 20% discount on tickets. With its current benefits though, you might be better off with a more general cashback or rewards credit card even if you do spend a fair chunk on SISTIC productions.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Singaporean or PR above 21 years old with at least S$30,000 annual income
- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$45,000 annual income

Conditions for Annual Fee Waiver: Spend $5,000 in a year.
17. OCBC NXT Card
Like the Great Eastern Cashflo Card, the NXT Card automatically breaks your purchases up into interest-free monthly instalments.
But given that the maximum cash rebate you’ll get with NXT is 1% – compared to the Great Eastern Cashflo’s 1.2% – we can’t see the appeal here. You’ll also need to spend a lot more on this card to qualify for the automatic fee waiver.
Eligibility Requirements:

- Foreigner above 21 with at least S$45,000 annual income
